ACTING
President Rupiah Banda arrives in North-Western
Province tomorrow for a five-day tour that would
see him attend Saturday’s Likumbi Lya Mize
cultural ceremony in Zambezi.

According
to the programme released by the provincial
administration in Solwezi yesterday, Mr. Banda
will call on Senior Chief Ishindi and other
Lunda chiefs at Mukanda Kunda an hour after
arriving in Zambezi around 16:30 hours.

On
Saturday, Mar Banda will meet MMD officials
before calling on Senior Chief Ndundu and other
Luvale chiefs at Mize capital ahead of the
ceremony.

On Sunday,
he will fly to Kabompo where he will call on
Senior Chief Sikufele before addressing a public
rally at Sikufele school grounds.

He leaves
for Mufumbwe to meet local chiefs and party
officials before addressing a public rally
around 14:00 hours.

Mr. Banda
will leave Mufumbwe around 15:00 hours for
Kasempa where he will meet local chiefs and
party officials before addressing a rally.

He is
expected in Solwezi after 18:00 hours. On
Monday, Mr. Banda will tour Lumwana and
Kansanshi Mines and thereafter meet Solwezi
chiefs.

Before
returning to Lusaka on Tuesday afternoon, Mr.
Banda will address two public rallies, one in
the morning in Mwinilunga, with another in the
afternoon in Solwezi.
